Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer

GPD is looking to hire an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team of HVAC/Plumbing design engineers in our Akron, OH office.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Mechanical Engineer with 0-3 years of experience in the architectural and engineering industry, in areas like Multi-site, Retail, Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed.), Healthcare, Federal and Industrial facilities.
• Experienced in HVAC Design and Plumbing Design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Understanding of Building load calculations.
• Understanding of ASHRAE design standards
• Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
• Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
  
  

Day-to-day Job Responsibilities

• Project design for mechanical and plumbing system.
• Addressing construction RFI’s and review of equipment submittals.
• Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
