Role Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) or civil, mechanical, or survey engineering technology.
- Equivalent experience without AAS degree - high school graduate and 3 years of experience in computer aided drafting and/or in civil/survey drafting work.
- Interest in 3D technology and mapping. Experience a plus.
- Knowledge of point cloud software and processes a plus.
- Experience with 3D modelling a plus.
- Firm understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
- Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Responsible for creating and revising drawings depicting existing conditions for various engineering projects in CAD platforms.
- Processing field data
- Preparation of topographic survey projects
- Preparation of survey plats
- Working with multiple types of data including GIS and laser scan data
- Coordinating with technical personnel to gather and record data for design projects.
- Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
