The Truss Designer will create accurate, efficient designs that meet customer needs and comply with building codes and safety standards.
Responsibilities Of a Truss Designer
- Create truss layouts and structural plans using MiTek, Alpine, or similar software
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to produce complete truss packages
- Work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide technical support to builders, contractors, and internal staff
- Ensure designs meet all safety and compliance requirements
- Assist production teams with questions on truss design details
- Experience as a Truss Designer strongly preferred
- Proficiency with MiTek, Alpine, or related truss design software
- Understanding of construction practices and structural load requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
