What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tower Climber position at Gpac?
looking for experienced Tower Climbers, Tower Hands and Crew Leaders (Foremen) for opportunities across the Southeast. Travel is required 100% of the time. Candidates must have some experience working on wireless (tower) sites. Training and all certifications needed will be provided. Already having certain current climbing/tower work certifications is a big plus but not required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
• The ability to climb tall structures (400 feet or more)
• Must have valid driver’s license
• 1 years experience a plus
• Sweep, Fiber and PIM testing experience a plus
• Knowledge of wireless construction rigging practices a plus
• Good computer skills needed
• Willingness to travel
Responsibilities:
• Climb and work on communications towers for the purpose of installing, deploying, replacing, and repairing network equipment
• Communicate both orally and written with detailed reports of work completed and time allocated per project
• Work under close supervision and with other people
• Ability to read site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work a plus
• Assist in on-site work under supervision of the Construction Manager/Foreman
• Ability to work at heights for prolonged lengths of time
• Ability to respond in an “on-call” capacity to respond to network outages
• Company vehicle, Certification training and PPE will be provided
• Must be able to travel up to 6 to 8 weeks at a time.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
