As a Tax Manager, you'll oversee tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients, mentor staff, and play a key role in maintaining client relationships and driving firm success.
Tax Manager Essential Functions
- Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting to clients across various industries.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants to support their professional development.
- Review client work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Assist in firm management and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or MBA a plus).
- CPA license strongly preferred (or in final stages of completion).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and consulting.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Competitive base salary: $120K - $160K (depending on experience)
