Steel Estimator Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Steel Estimator to support structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection projects. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and contributing to successful project bidding and execution.
Steel Estimator Key Responsibilities
- Perpare estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform material take-offs and labor cost calculations
- Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and clients
- Support bid submissions and project handoff
- Project Steel Scope: Typical project sizes range from $50K to $500K
- Experience in steel estimating, fabrication, or erection
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Strengths with miscellaneous projects is a plus
- Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam, and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication internally and with clients
- Must be based in or willing to work in the Northern KC
- Competitive salary based on experience
