A highly regarded Chicago litigation boutique is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to handle sophisticated, high-stakes disputes involving major construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects throughout North America.

The firm's matters involve substantial financial exposure, complex contractual disputes, technically demanding evidence, and extensive documentary records.

This opportunity is designed for an accomplished litigator with exceptional analytical and writing skills who can make an immediate impact on complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial, construction, and infrastructure litigation and arbitration.
• Independently conduct sophisticated legal research, factual investigations, and document analysis.
• Draft complex motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other substantive litigation materials.
• Analyze intricate contractual disputes, engineering issues, construction schedules, and technical evidence.
• Manage extensive discovery and document-intensive litigation involving substantial electronic records.
• Work closely with expert witnesses, technical consultants, and experienced litigators.
• Take meaningful ownership of litigation assignments, case strategy, depositions, and hearing preparation.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of substantive litigation experience, preferably in complex commercial, construction, or sophisticated civil litigation.
• Exceptional legal research, analytical reasoning, and persuasive writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle complex legal assignments and significant litigation responsibilities.
• Strong experience with substantive motion practice, discovery, and detailed factual investigations.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand technically complex subject matter.
• Proven ability to analyze substantial documentary records and develop effective legal arguments.
• Background in construction, engineering, or architecture is beneficial but not required.
