Responsibilities
- Manage a full civil litigation caseload from intake through trial and appeal, as necessary.
- Serve as first chair in jury and bench trials.
- Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation.
- Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings.
- Conduct mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys when appropriate.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the AZ state bar.
- 5 years of civil litigation experience (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated first-chair trial experience is required.
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
- Experience handling high-exposure or complex civil litigation matters.
- Proven record of successful trial outcomes.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills are a plus.
