- Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects
- Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive and competitive bids
- Conduct detailed take-offs, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimates
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Analyze historical cost data and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy
- Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project conditions
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing
- Oversee junior estimators, providing mentorship and technical guidance
- Collaborate on value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and contract requirements
- 7 years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor
- Expertise in estimating commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Conest
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts with precision
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Stable work history
- Previous experience in a leadership or senior estimating role
