Key Responsibilities
- Litigation Management: Draft and respond to substantive pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Advocacy: Attend and chair hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Strategy: Conduct thorough legal research and develop effective defense strategies to mitigate client risk.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with claims adjusters, underwriters, and policyholders regarding case status and evaluations.
- Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensing: Active membership in the Indiana State Bar and in good standing.
- Experience: 4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury.
- Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.
