Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the preconstruction and estimating process for commercial ground-up projects
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews from conceptual through GMP/CD phases
- Collaborate closely with preconstruction, operations, project management, and subcontractors
- Analyze subcontractor bids, leveling and scope alignment
- Provide value engineering input and cost-saving strategies
- Support project handoffs from preconstruction to operations
- Maintain accurate historical cost data and market pricing awareness
- 10 years of estimating and preconstruction experience with a General Contractor
- Strong background in commercial ground-up construction
- Proven understanding of the full preconstruction lifecycle
- Demonstrated job stability and good tenure with previous employers
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Experience working across multiple project types and sizes
- Ability to work from any Montana office location as needed
- Established General Contractor with a strong reputation in the Montana market
