A growing manufacturer of premium pet food and treats is seeking a Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty to join its office in DuPage County, IL. Backed by a well-established global company and expanding across the U.S., this team needs a relationship-driven account manager who can grow key retail and distributor partnerships in the pet channel.

What You'll Do
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned national and regional pet specialty retailers and distributors (and select FDM accounts)
- Develop and maintain headquarters-level relationships that drive distribution and sales growth
- Use trends and sales data to shape account strategy and match products to customer needs
- Participate in performance reviews and market presentations with customers
- Engage regularly with existing accounts to make sure their needs and sales goals are met
- Partner with the Regional Sales Manager on account plans (individual contributor role, no direct reports)
- Required: pet industry experience (pet specialty strongly preferred)
- Required: headquarters-level key account management experience; this is not an outside territory sales role
- Required: local to the DuPage County, IL area and able to commute to the office (onsite role)
- Strong ability to analyze trends and data to support sales strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable with regular travel
- Base salary $70,000 - $100,000 plus a 10-25% annual bonus and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
