This role offers a stable platform, sophisticated casework, and flexibility regarding annual billable-hour expectations and compensation structuring. Candidates from mid-level (3-6 years) to senior-level (7-10 years) civil litigators are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee civil litigation and insurance defense files independently or collaboratively from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; attend court hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
- Formulate discovery strategies, conduct and defend depositions, and handle complex case development.
- Maintain direct contact with insurance carriers, individual clients, and opposing counsel.
- Evaluate case liability/exposure, develop settlement strategies, and assist with trial preparation.
- Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar in good standing (Required).
- 3 years of civil litigation experience, with strong preference for prior insurance defense work.
- Excellent legal research, written composition, and oral argument capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple litigation deadlines, conduct depositions, and handle court appearances autonomously.
- Billable-hours 1800-2000.
