Insurance Defense Attorney (2+ Years)

A well-established regional law firm is adding an insurance defense attorney to its Norfolk office. You'll handle a caseload of defense matters for insurance carriers and their insureds, taking each file from assignment through resolution.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate new claims and build strategy for each case
• Draft pleadings, discovery and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions, and attend mediations
• Report regularly to carriers and clients on case status
• Support trial preparation and appear in court
  
  

What You'll Need

• J.D. and active Virginia bar license
• 2 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense or civil litigation
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a full caseload on your own
  
  

What's offered: a competitive salary of $100K-$120K, a hybrid schedule, full benefits, and room to grow with a respected Hampton Roads practice.
