A growing food manufacturer is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume, temperature-controlled production environment. This role helps ensure safe, efficient operation of refrigeration, air handling, and climate control systems that protect food quality and employee safety.

What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems, including chillers, freezers, compressors, condensers, and air handling units
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
- Monitor and adjust environmental controls to support food safety and quality standards (HACCP, USDA, FDA)
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
- Maintain EPA-compliant refrigerant handling records
- Work in cold production areas as needed with proper PPE
- Follow LOTO and other OSHA safety procedures
- Support energy-efficiency and system-upgrade initiatives
- 3 years of commercial or industrial HVAC/R experience (food manufacturing or cold storage preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- EPA refrigerant certification a plus
- Comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Willingness to work overtime or on-call when needed
