- Bridges
- Earthwork
- Roadway construction
- Utilities (waterline, storm, sanitary sewer)
- Concrete flatwork
- Concrete structures
- Deep foundations
- Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to fully understand project requirements
- Perform accurate takeoffs for labor, material, and equipment
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns and bid items
- Analyze labor, production rates, subcontractor quotes, and market pricing
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive and timely quotes
- Identify project risks and support internal bid reviews
- Prepare complete bid packages and support preconstruction planning
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal operations teams
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, Construction Management, Business, Mathematics, or related field
- 2 years of experience in construction or related estimating role
- Knowledge of heavy civil construction principles and project sequencing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, HCSS, or HeavyBid
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and proposals
- Valid driver's license
