Responsibilities
- Represent health insurers, plan administrators, and self-funded health plans in managed care and provider disputes.
- Handle provider payment and reimbursement disputes involving in-network and out-of-network providers.
- Manage arbitrations and litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
- Research and analyze healthcare regulations, contractual obligations, and reimbursement issues.
- Handle healthcare regulatory disputes and advise clients on related compliance matters.
- Develop case strategies and communicate legal analysis, risks, and recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients while working remotely.
- Active state bar license in good standing.
- Relevant experience in healthcare litigation, managed care disputes, provider reimbursement, or healthcare regulatory matters.
- Payer-side experience representing health insurers, plan administrators, or self-funded health plans preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage complex matters, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Clear client communication and a collaborative approach.
