What You'll Do
- Defend clients in a variety of civil litigation matters
- Manage cases through different stages of litigation
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Develop litigation strategies and work toward favorable resolutions
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff
- 1-4 years of experience practicing law
- Virginia Bar admission in good standing
- Experience in insurance defense, general liability, civil litigation, or a related practice area
- Prior trial experience strongly preferred
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Someone who genuinely enjoys litigation and wants to continue developing as a trial attorney
