About The Role
This position will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting functions within a construction environment, with a strong emphasis on job costing, payroll, and financial reporting. The role also includes supervising a small team and ensuring accurate and timely financial processes across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support two accounting staff members
- Oversee and process weekly payroll, including certified payroll reporting
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Handle multi-state payroll tax filings (940, 941)
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss)
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Maintain general ledger and journal entries, including depreciation
- Prepare Work in Progress (WIP) reports
- Support annual workers' comp and insurance audits
- 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in construction
- Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting
- Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage projects
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Degree in Accounting preferred (not required)
- Experience with construction accounting software (Foundation preferred) is a plus

Salary : $75,000 - $130,000
