The Role
The Executive Director Will
- Set strategic priorities and translate them into measurable results
- Lead, develop, and support a professional, mission-driven team
- Oversee operations, budgeting, grants, compliance, and organizational performance
- Strengthen fundraising and relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners
- Build partnerships with courts, law firms, legal organizations, and service providers
- Serve as the organization's primary community representative
- Partner with the Board on governance and long-term planning
- J.D. required
- Admission to the South Dakota Bar or ability to become admitted within one year
- At least five years of legal practice or management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to serving individuals with limited access to legal resources
