Diesel Mechanic - Ag & Heavy Equipment

A well-established, privately owned agricultural and construction operation on the Eastern Shore is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and farm machinery. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering steady, year-round work in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and agricultural machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment both in the shop and in the field
• Work on a variety of equipment including tractors, loaders, excavators, skid steers, and trucks
• Maintain service records and follow scheduled maintenance programs
• Assist with parts ordering and inventory as needed
• Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience working on John Deere agricultural equipment is a strong plus.
• Experience with agricultural equipment is a plus
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
