Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and agricultural machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment both in the shop and in the field
- Work on a variety of equipment including tractors, loaders, excavators, skid steers, and trucks
- Maintain service records and follow scheduled maintenance programs
- Assist with parts ordering and inventory as needed
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
- 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Experience working on John Deere agricultural equipment is a strong plus.
- Experience with agricultural equipment is a plus
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
