Key Responsibilities
- Structure mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures
- Lead transactions from initial negotiations through closing
- Conduct and oversee legal due diligence
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents, including asset and stock purchase agreements
- Coordinate with tax, finance, and executive teams to ensure strategic and regulatory compliance
- Identify and manage risk throughout the transaction process
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Deliver high-quality client service under tight deadlines
- 3-9 years of corporate transactional experience with a focus on M&A
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage transactions with increasing independence
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
- Active North Carolina license required
