What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projects.
- Estimate both new construction and reroofing projects.
- Review plans, specifications, scopes, and project requirements.
- Perform roof inspections and develop comprehensive scopes of work.
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor requirements, and project costs.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and project management throughout the estimating process.
- Identify potential risks, exclusions, and opportunities before projects are awarded.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting bid deadlines.
- Build strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
The ideal Commercial Roofing Estimator will bring:
- 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
- At least 5 years of experience estimating both new construction and reroofing projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, installation methods, and construction practices.
- Experience reading architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A track record of producing accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a high-performing team.
- Experience with EDGE estimating software is desirable but not required.
