Summary
Prepare detailed material, labor, and cost estimates for mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems, including conceptual estimates when plans aren't available.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate project estimates, proposals, and pricing
- Review plans, specs, and vendor quotes for compliance and scope
- Track bid changes, addenda, and project updates
- Communicate project details, issues, and value engineering ideas
- Maintain estimating files and support project handoff
- Assist with contracts, meetings, and mentoring as needed
- 3-5 years commercial HVAC/PLUMBING estimating experience
- Proficiency reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical details
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, chillers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV/controls, and piping systems
- Strong analytical skills, organized documentation, and estimating software literacy
- Coachable, detail-oriented, team-focused
