The Opportunity
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution with appropriate attorney supervision
- Meet directly with clients to understand legal issues, evaluate claims, and develop litigation strategies
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law, evidence, depositions, and witness testimony
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and document review
- Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third-party witnesses
- Appear at hearings and advocate on behalf of clients
- Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trials
- Develop case strategy and work closely with clients throughout the litigation process
- Take increasing responsibility for matters while working within a collaborative team environment
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership and good standing with the Washington State Bar
- 6 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong motion practice experience is required
- Experience handling matters through multiple stages of litigation
- Deposition and courtroom experience
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with experienced attorneys
- $160,000-$200,000 base salary, depending on experience
