SUMMARY
GPA Logistics is seeking a highly capable and resilient Controller to lead financial oversight for its logistics and 3PL warehousing operations. This is a critical, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Group Head of Financial Control. The Controller will play a key role in establishing robust financial processes, enhancing transparency, and driving operational accountability in a complex environment.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can own the financials end-to-end, implement best practices, and partner effectively with operational and management teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full oversight of financial operations for GPA Logistics (3PL & Warehousing), including month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Lead financial transformation efforts, including the migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O).
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and processes to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
- Provide hands-on financial support to operational teams—from warehouse operations to transportation management.
- Partner closely with the Group Head of Financial Control and senior leadership to establish a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
- Identify issues proactively, including unusual transactions, control gaps, and process inefficiencies in a constructive, solutions-oriented manner.
- Manage external relationships such as auditors, banks, and advisors as needed.
Qualifications
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) required.
- Minimum 3–4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience; additional years in industry preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills in US GAAP and internal controls.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting operations—AP, AR, inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger.
- Process improvement mindset – proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) strongly preferred; ERP migration project experience a plus.
- Experience in logistics, 3PL, warehousing accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset and business acumen—ability to connect financials to business drivers.
- Resilient personality—able to work in a challenging environment.
- High ethical standards and strong judgment; able to detect and flag irregularities or control weaknesses without direct accusation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
