What are the responsibilities and job description for the Molding Tech 1 position at GP&C?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of yourself and your team members.
- Adhere to the production schedule by being at your assigned machine(s) at the start of your shift.
- Achieve daily production goals for rubber/phenolic goods.
- Maintain a low scrap rate during production.
- Maintain workplace organization in accordance with 5S standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Experience:
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings (preferred).
- Skills:
- Ability to perform simple math calculations.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work up to 6 days per week if required.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and swing shifts.

- Attention to detail to maintain quality and minimize scrap.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- The employee is frequently required to stand for an extended period of time.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
