Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans
- Provide individual, therapy sessions using different modalities
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and ensure ongoing progress monitoring
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver therapy sessions remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, medical documentation, and coordinated patient care efforts
- Maintain accurate clinical records within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques. Some may include, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavior management strategies
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation
- Excellent communication skills for effective client engagement and collaboration with healthcare providers
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, treatment planning processes, and medical terminology
- Experience delivering telehealth therapy sessions while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
