Position Summary
Governors Towne Club is seeking energetic, service-oriented Banquet Event Staff to support weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and member events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience for some of the most important occasions in our members' and guests' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event diagrams, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor
- Provide attentive food and beverage service during plated dinners, buffets, and receptions, including serving, bussing, and clearing
- Assist bartenders and servers with beverage service as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, service areas, and storage throughout events
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests
- Coordinate with the Banquet Captain/Event Manager to ensure timelines and service standards are met
- Assist with load-in/load-out of event equipment, décor, and vendor items
- Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and club safety policies
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times, especially during high-visibility events like weddings
Qualifications
- Prior banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events dictate
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30–40 lbs for extended periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and composure under pressure
- Responsible Alcohol Service certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
