Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Autobody Technician to perform high-quality collision repairs in accordance with manufacturer and insurance standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in workmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural and non-structural body repairs on vehicles damaged in collisions
- Repair, replace, and align body panels, frames, and unibody components
- Perform metal straightening, welding, cutting, and fitting as required
- Remove and reinstall vehicle components including trim, moldings, lights, and glass
- Use frame machines, measuring systems, and other repair equipment properly
- Follow repair plans, OEM procedures, and insurance requirements
- Ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards before release
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with estimators and management regarding repair status
Qualifications
- 3 years of autobody repair experience (A-Tech or strong B-Tech preferred)
- Ability to perform structural repairs and panel replacement
- Experience with frame and measuring equipment
- Welding experience (MIG/spot) required
- Ability to read and follow repair plans and OEM procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred
- I-CAR certifications
- OEM certifications
- Experience with aluminum repair
- ASE certification
