The Cable Technician will install, terminate, patch, and splice fiber optic cables and copper CAT5/6 Ethernet cables. This role requires the ability to work in an active working environment with little or no disruption to customers.
The Cable Technician will work in a classified secured environment and must be able to obtain up to a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Key Responsibilities Cable Installation and Infrastructure Support
- Install cabling infrastructure under floors or in ceilings.
- Patch network cables in Telecommunications Rooms on multiple levels of classifications and networks.
- Ensure cables are properly labeled and identified.
- Troubleshoot issues with Link Runner AT2000 cable testers.
- Complete work orders using the Remedy online system.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven work experience as a Cable Technician or similar role.
- Experience installing, terminating, patching, and splicing fiber optic cables and copper CAT5/6 Ethernet cables.
- Ability to terminate fiber optic cables of various types, including single-mode and multi-mode OM3.
- Knowledge of fiber optic color code.
- Knowledge of fiber optic connectors, including LC, SC, MTRJ, ST, and related connector types.
- Ability to use an RJ45 crimper and punch-down tool for terminating copper.
- Knowledge of T568B color code.
- Ability to work in an active working environment with little or no disruption to customers.
- Active Top Secret DoD clearance, with willingness and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Must have a valid passport with expiration greater than 6 months.
- Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCCONUS up to 10% each year.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to work under floors and on ladders on a daily basis.
- BICSI certifications are preferred.
