A Data Governance Data Quality Assurance (QA) professional ensures the accuracy, consistency, and security of enterprise data by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing data policies, standards, and validation rules. This role bridges IT and business units, focusing on improving data reliability for decision-making through data profiling, root cause analysis of issues, and documentation.
- Data Quality Management: Develop and maintain data quality rules, metrics, and dashboards to measure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Governance Policy Implementation: Enforce data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.
- Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Identify, investigate, and remediate data quality issues by collaborating with data owners and IT teams.
- Metadata & Lineage Management: Document data definitions, data lineage, and business glossaries to enhance transparency and trust.
- Data Profiling & Auditing: Conduct regular data audits and profiling to detect anomalies, data drift, and potential issues before they impact business operations.
