What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Administrator position at Government Contractor?
Looking for a entry level contract administrator
We are a government contractor with 6 different companies. We are a very small office therefore candidates must have the ability and desire to "wear multiple hats" and be very "hands-on" in a very fast-paced environment.
In this position, you will have an exciting opportunity to represent the company to a variety of Government and Commercial customers on contracts and agreements for janitorial and grounds services. As the liaison between Corporate and the customer, you will be empowered to propose, prepare and negotiate contracts.
Some Essential Functions
- Monitor expirations, renewals, and closeout of contracts.
- Prepare and review contract mods, as well as assist with contract task order proposals and quotes.
- Oversee and manage proposal submittals and other contracts’ communications with customers to ensure timely and coordinated responses and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Interface with project managers and government to discuss any issues regarding billing, funding, service completion, etc.
- Create and maintain electronic and manual contract binders.
- Prepare pricing for proposals.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and yearly submittals.
- Participates in negotiations.
- Responds to quotations and bids.
- Prepares and/or negotiates contract prices, terms, and conditions.
- Prepares various correspondences and reports.
- Provides responsive, high-quality service to customers providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner.
- Respond to RFP and Sources Sought.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES Understanding of full cycle of government contracting (pre-bid to the release of claims)
- Elements of cost and price analysis principles and techniques
- Contract negotiation methods and techniques
- Work accurately in business/purchasing/contractual transactions
- Excellent Writing Skills
- Some Traveling Required
Hours :9:00am-5:00pm
We offer PTO and Medical Stipend.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
