This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where interns contribute meaningfully to real projects while gaining exposure to marketing and communications in a government-focused organization.

Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Assist with planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital channels
- Support social media, web, and event-related campaigns
- Participate in marketing brainstorming and content planning sessions
- Write and edit copy for website content, emails, and marketing collateral
- Assist in creating image and video content for marketing and communications channels
- Support drafting and editing of basic communications materials, including internal announcements and press release drafts
- Assist with website content updates and basic SEO optimization
- Help manage content tagging, keyword usage, and performance tracking
- Support coordination of content across marketing platforms
- Track and report basic performance metrics for social media, email, web, and campaigns
- Assist with compiling marketing reports and tracking documents
- Research industry trends, competitors, and media coverage to support communications and campaign planning
- Assist with event logistics and execution.
- Provide general support to the Marketing & Communications team on special projects as needed
- Participate in formal and informal training opportunities to build marketing and communications skills
Required Skills and Experience:
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher - Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident - Completed coursework or pursuing a degree in the area(s) related to the internship
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and content performance metrics (engagement, reach, impressions)
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices
- Introductory skills in photography, image editing, video editing, or graphic design
- Creative problem-solving mindset
- Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a team
