Title: Db2 Mainframe DBA
Location: Merrimack, NH (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months Contract(Potential Extension)
The Database Administration team supports the Db2 database platform on z/OS. Responsibilities include end-to-end application DBA support such as physical database design, deployment, data replication, and on-call production support (8 AM ? 8 PM, one week every two months).
We are seeking a hands-on z/OS mainframe Db2 expert capable of managing large, complex database environments, ensuring system performance, and supporting mission-critical applications.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience as a Db2 z/OS Database Administrator in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Expert in z/OS mainframe systems (must-have; Db2 LUW is not sufficient).
- Experience with IBM replication products (IIDR) ? specifically QRep and/or CDC.
- Extensive experience with SQL, REXX, JCL, and COBOL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Requirements
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in financial services or brokerage domain.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of relevant experience in Db2 z/OS administration.
