Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. Our Hygienist works with a dedicated hygienist assistant that handles the operatory set-up, cleanup, and most of the data entry. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and has at least two years of experience. Responsibilities:
- Dental Hygienist performs thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Assess and document patients' oral health status, including medical records and treatment plans
- Dental Hygienist perform periodontal ScRP or debridement where indicated in diseased areas
- Utilize our dental software (Eaglesoft) for patient documentation and scheduling
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits
- Dental Hygienist occasionally assist the dentist during procedures as needed, demonstrating proficiency in dental assisting tasks when a hygienist assistant is not available
- Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- The Dental Hygienist stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dentistry to effectively communicate with patients and team members
Qualifications
- Valid dental hygiene license in NY State
- Experience with medical records management is preferred
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and medical terminology is essential
- Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated
Salary : $45 - $55
