Employment Solutions is hiring for our client's manufacturing company for Extrusion Operator Assistant positions!
Available Shifts & Pay:
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM | $20.56/hour
3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM | $20.56/hour
Position Summary:
The Extrusion Operator Assistant supports the extrusion production process by assisting with equipment setup, material handling, product testing, and general production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team
- Set up downstream production equipment
- Handle raw materials and finished products
- Perform product testing and quality checks
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
- Support Extruder Technicians with daily production activities
- Learn extrusion operations to provide backup support when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles
- Complete additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production environments
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to cross-train in multiple departments
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around machinery, dust, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
