As a Server/Barista at Gould Farm's Roadside Store and Cafe, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while serving high-quality coffee and food. This position is vital to our mission of fostering community and support within our therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing menus and taking orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu, including daily specials, and be able to answer questions and make recommendations.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with attention to quality.
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive café experience for all guests.
Requirements
- Experience in the food industry or as a barista preferred but not required.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math helpful.
