Go To Foods' Digital Technology team is seeking a Principal Web Engineer to oversee the build out of our brand websites. To be successful the candidate will need excellent communication skills and an ability to explain technology solutions to business partners and will possess a deep technical knowledge of the development of highly performant websites. They should be able to work effectively in an agile environment and should be a self-starter.

They should be able to work effectively in an agile environment and should be a self-starter.
Essential Functions
- Development and Support.
- Point of contact for all design discussions/questions.
- Perform feasibility analysis for all website designs.
- Lead development efforts for all website development.
- Proficient in website development using React and React based components.
- Collaborate with product and technology leadership to help plan work for technology pods.
- Research and assess feasibility of features suggested by product teams.
- SME for all website development work.
- Assist experimentation of various features to drive conversion and user engagement.
- Actively research and provide solutions for problems.
- Assist the architecture team on a long-term road map for the technology team.
- Keep up with market direction on website development and provide the team with timely input.
- Design and present elegant solutions to gaps in the products we build.
- Support product releases and ability to triage issues in production.
- Have a good understanding of cloud infrastructure.
- Have some experience with building and maintaining CICD pipelines.
- Great understanding of tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have an end user focus.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools using GitHub copilot.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, required.
- Master’s Degree, preferred.
- 5 years of website development experience using React.
- 10 years of general work experience.
- Experience in various deployment strategies.
- Experience in various testing and experimentation strategies with app development.
- Expert level knowledge of website development using React and React based Components.
- Expert level knowledge of website development using the Next.js framework.
- Expert level knowledge of website styling using tailwind css.
- Expert level debugging capabilities and knowledge of edge cases with performance.
- Expert level knowledge of security needs.
- Experience integrating payment solutions like Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and other similar payment methods.
- Experience integrating social logins as part of the user experience.
- Experience creating highly performant websites.
- Expert level experience consuming REST API services.
- Experience consuming GraphQL services.
- Experience implementing feature flagging.
- Experience implementing design systems
- Advanced user of GIT, Jira, Confluence, and other supporting tools.
- Advanced knowledge of CICD practices and ability to understand pipelines.
- Experience using the Node.js runtime environment and frameworks such as Next.js.
- Ability to understand Java, JavaScript.
- Familiar with JAMStack architecture.
- Some experience with a CMS like Sitecore.
- Some experience in the QSR space.
- Expert level knowledge of SEO.
- Working knowledge of the interdependencies between/across businesses to proactively identify risks/issues that could have an impact on business results.
- Ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to business leaders and technical resources in clear concise language; to convey clear, concise information in verbal, written, electronic, and other communication formats; to demonstrate active listening while engaging others; and to articulate ideas and present information to all levels of the organization and varying sizes of audiences.
