SAP S/4HANA FICO Techno-Functional Lead
Location: New York City, NY
Schedule: Full-Time Onsite 4 Days per Week
Reports To: VP, IT Applications
The ideal candidate has successfully led SAP Finance transformations within a luxury retail and wholesale environment, supporting complex business models that include boutiques, wholesale partners, eCommerce, and direct-to-consumer sales. They are a hands-on SAP expert who understands the financial and operational requirements of high-end brands and can bridge Finance, Technology, Payments, and Commercial Operations to deliver scalable solutions.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on SAP S/4HANA FICO Techno-Functional Lead to support a retail and wholesale organization. This role will own the design, configuration, integration, and ongoing optimization of SAP Finance solutions across a high-volume, omnichannel business spanning wholesale, retail stores, eCommerce, and direct-to-consumer channels.
The ideal candidate brings deep SAP FICO expertise, strong accounting and finance process knowledge, and experience supporting complex luxury or consumer brands where financial accuracy, customer experience, inventory movement, payment processing, and operational scale are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the SAP Finance subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA FICO.
- Lead configuration and support of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Financial Close.
- Own SAP Accounts Receivable and Credit Management across wholesale, retail, and eCommerce channels.
- Support high-volume cash application, deductions, chargebacks, collections, and customer credit processes.
- Lead SAP Digital Payments Add-On (DPAO) and integrations with payment providers, banks, and commerce platforms.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, including payment authorization, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, and credit holds.
- Partner with Integration, BTP, CPI, Commerce, and Development teams to resolve complex cross-functional issues.
- Drive testing, deployment, process improvement, governance, and production support activities.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, audit, internal control, and financial reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of SAP experience with extensive hands-on SAP FICO configuration.
- Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation and support experience.
- Experience leading multiple SAP transformations or large-scale implementations.
- Deep expertise in Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, Cash Application, and Financial Close processes.
- Experience with SAP Digital Payments Add-On and payment provider integrations.
- Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report processes.
- Experience supporting luxury retail, wholesale, fashion, consumer products, beauty, jewelry, or other high-volume omnichannel businesses.
- Strong understanding of inventory, revenue recognition, customer payments, credit controls, and financial reconciliation within retail and wholesale environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience.
- SAP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP BTP, APIs, and OData experience.
- Experience integrating with Adyen, Stripe, Worldpay, Cybersource, or similar payment providers.
- Experience supporting Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or other digital commerce platforms.
- Luxury retail or premium consumer brand experience strongly preferred.
Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
