Sales Director

Title: Director of Sales

Location: Onsite in Colts Neck, NJ

Duration: FTE/Perm

Salary: 100-125k Commission

The Director of Sales will drive the strategy for revenue growth including winning new clients, expanding existing accounts and leading and mentoring a sales team. Reporting to executive management, this is a senior hands-on role with input into sales strategy, markets and how the team sells.

What you'll do

• Build and run the annual sales plan, with revenue, margin and pipeline targets by market.
• Drive business by winning new clients in the public and private sector including healthcare, corporate, education, government, retail and houses of worship.
• Grow recurring revenue through service agreements, master service agreements and in-house contracts.
• Lead, coach and hold accountable a sales team.
• Work with engineering and project management to scope solutions, price proposals and hand off clean projects.
• Strengthen manufacturer relationships with Crestron, Biamp and other partners, including joint selling and training.
• Represent the company at industry events, client sites and local business networks.

Required

• 10 years of B2B sales in commercial, unified communications or IT solutions, with at least 4 years leading or mentoring salespeople.
• Enough technical fluency to discuss conferencing, displays, control systems and audio with clients and engineers.
• Experience building proposals and pricing for multi-site or design-build projects.
• Strong relationships with buyers in New Jersey and the surrounding tristate area.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.

Preferred

• Experience selling into healthcare systems, education or houses of worship.
• Crestron, Biamp or AVIXA (CTS) certification
• AV industry experience
• Experience growing a managed services or service-agreement business.
• A background in a small or founder-led company where you built process from scratch.
