End-to-End (E2E) QA Lead – Contract to Hire
Our client is seeking a highly experienced End-to-End (E2E) QA Lead for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity. This role is responsible for defining and driving the end-to-end quality assurance strategy across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a strong focus on automation, e-commerce workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Overview
The E2E QA Lead will play a critical leadership role in shaping QA strategy, guiding test execution, and enhancing automation capabilities across enterprise e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong technical QA expertise, leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset, including familiarity with modern automation tools and AI-driven QA enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Serve as QA Subject Matter Expert (SME) from project inception through delivery.
- Assess project scope early, identifying impacted systems, workflows, and dependencies.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable QA strategies.
- Provide leadership, direction, and workload prioritization for QA team members.
Test Strategy, Planning & Design
- Define and implement comprehensive end-to-end QA strategies for e-commerce platforms.
- Develop test plans and test cases aligned with risk-based prioritization.
- Estimate testing efforts and determine optimal manual vs. automation coverage.
- Ensure testing approach aligns with business impact and technical complexity.
Automation Development & Execution
- Lead development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and suites.
- Oversee execution of automated test cycles and analyze results for quality insights.
- Drive expansion of automation coverage and efficiency using modern tools (e.g., UiPath or similar platforms).
- Promote scalable and maintainable automation practices.
Quality Oversight, Defect Management & Reporting
- Manage the full QA lifecycle including planning, execution, defect tracking, and resolution.
- Facilitate defect triage sessions and ensure timely issue resolution using Jira.
- Track, analyze, and report QA metrics and overall product quality.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and applicable compliance requirements.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance QA processes and toolsets.
- Explore and apply AI-driven approaches to improve QA efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- 3 years in a QA leadership role managing teams of 3 engineers.
- Strong e-commerce domain experience with end-to-end process knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., UiPath or similar RPA/testing platforms).
- Strong proficiency with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
