THE ROLE
At Gotham Greens, we are reimagining how and where fresh food is grown. We are looking for an R &D Trial Coordinator to join us in designing and executing a wide range of trials for ideas that will be implemented in our greenhouses to improve performance. Some of the trials include new varieties, new media, chemicals, blends, etc.
The R&D Trial Coordinator role will establish and manage trial programs that align with the strategic goals of the company. These programs will be focused on coordinating and recollecting data of relevant trials to improve our operation. The role will work with teams across company locations and with external stakeholders and requires great computer skills to document and report trial results. The role dual reports directly to facility Grower and VP of Growing.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Coordinate and execute trial programs and projects designed by the Growing team that align with the strategic goals of the company.
- Recollect trial data and present results to the VP of Growing
- Work cross-functionally with different departments to coordinate the execution of trials and present results
- Coordinate installation of trials and data recollection with other locations
- Be hands-on with projects during installation, data collection and evaluation
- Maintain records of samples and agricultural inputs used in trials
- Manage the trial data base for easy reference and comparison
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- College graduate in a relevant field
- 2 years of relevant greenhouse experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organizational skills

- Graduate degree in horticulture or related field
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Passionate commitment to the company vision
- Appreciation to principles of sustainable agriculture and food
