Design Consultant — Custom Window Treatments
Gotcha Covered of Frisco/McKinney · Frisco/McKinney, TX · Full-time, in-person

About us
Gotcha Covered of Frisco/McKinney has been designing custom window treatments for North Texas homes since 2014. We're a family-owned business serving Frisco, McKinney, Celina, Prosper, Allen, and surrounding communities — known for beautiful work and white-glove service.

The role
As a Design Consultant, you own the client relationship from first hello to final install: consulting in clients' homes, measuring, designing, proposing, closing, and following up for referrals and reviews. You'll work with premium products including Hunter Douglas — and full training is provided, so no prior window-treatment experience is required.

What you'll do

• Run in-home design consultations: measure, recommend, quote, and close
• Generate leads through prospecting, networking, community events, and past clients
• Collect deposits and payments; prepare quotes, agreements, and client paperwork
• Cover showroom hours and keep sample materials pristine
• Follow up within 24 hours — thank-yous, review requests, referral asks
• Document before-and-after installations on video

Compensation

• $30,000 base salary ($2,500/month, paid twice monthly) tiered commission of 5–10% — earnings uncapped
• Commission grows with performance: 5% on company leads, up to 10% on self-generated business
• Quarterly bonuses starting at $250K in sales; extended bonuses up to $5K/quarter at $375K
• $5,000 year-end consistency bonus
• Mileage reimbursement for client visits
• Realistic first-year earnings: $64K–$124K , with top performers reaching $170K
• Health, dental, and vision benefit options

Training (paid)

• Month 1: classroom showroom training — $3,333 training pay
• Month 2: shadow a Senior Design Consultant
• Month 3: full commission with senior support
• Hunter Douglas Certified Consultant certification within 90 days, plus vendor training

What you bring

• Sales drive and a genuine eye for design — interior design background a plus, not required
• Active driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Comfortable with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
• Professional appearance and communication
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs · Clean background check
