Duties
- Oversee daily bakery operations, including production schedules, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Manage and motivate bakery staff through effective training, supervision, and performance evaluations.
- Interview and hire new staff members / Terminate staff members
- Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to ensure the availability of ingredients and supplies while minimizing waste.
- Implement merchandising strategies to showcase baked goods attractively and boost sales.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure excellent service standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures in compliance with company policies.
- Manager is in charge of staff in the front and the back of house (bakers / barista and cashiers )
- Oversee the coffee program in the bakery - coffee inventory / coffee training / quality control.
Requirements
- MUST have ServSafe Certification - Manager level
- Proven management experience in retail or food service environments, preferably with bakery or pastry background - minimum of 2 years
- Proven experience in 3rd generation coffee program - minimum of 2 years
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting to build a motivated team.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for communicating with diverse customers and staff.
- Knowledge of POS systems, retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
- Experience with inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling.
- Excellent communication skills combined with organizational skills to manage shift schedules and store operations effectively.
