GY6 (Got Your Six) is building a 200-person security team for Austin City Limits, one of Austin's largest and most recognized music festivals.

This is more than a weekend security assignment. We're looking for dependable guards who want to become part of the GY6 team and grow with us as we expand throughout Texas.

ABOUT AUSTIN CITY LIMITS

Austin City Limits takes over Zilker Park in Austin, Texas for two full weekends:

October 2–4 & October 9–11, 2026

The festival features 100 bands across 9 stages over 3 days, bringing together artists, fans, vendors, event staff, and visitors from across the country.

With thousands of people moving through the festival grounds each day, professional security is a major part of keeping the event safe, organized, and enjoyable.

That is where GY6 comes in.

WEEKEND ONE

October 2–4

Report Time: 8:00 AM
End Time: 10:00–11:00 PM

WEEKEND TWO

October 9–11

Report Time: 9:00 AM
End Time: 10:00–11:00 PM

WHAT YOU'LL BE PART OF

As a GY6 guard, you won't simply be standing around watching a crowd.

You'll be part of a large-scale event security operation responsible for helping protect:

• Festival guests
• Performers
• Vendors
• Event staff
• Restricted areas
• Entrances and exits
• Designated security zones
• Overall event operations

Responsibilities may include monitoring assigned areas, observing crowd activity, identifying and reporting safety concerns, assisting guests when appropriate, responding professionally to incidents, and working directly with GY6 supervisors and event personnel.

This is an opportunity to gain experience working in a large-scale festival environment and learn what it takes to operate as part of a major event security team.

GY6 isn't looking at ACL as a one-time event.

We are actively working toward building a Texas-wide GY6 travel team made up of dependable guards who are interested in traveling for future events and assignments throughout the state.

may have opportunities to be considered for future GY6 events in different Texas markets.

Our goal is to build a team of guards that we know we can call on when the next major event comes to town.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Valid Texas Level 2 Security License
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Strong observation skills
• Ability to remain professional in a large, crowded environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a large team

Preferred:

• Previous event security experience
• Concert or festival experience
• Crowd-control experience
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience working large-scale events
