Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Attorney role based in Dallas, TX. The Litigation Attorney will manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, as well as handling depositions and court appearances. Daily responsibilities include evaluating cases, developing litigation strategies, conducting legal research, and preparing clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trials. The role involves frequent communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers to advance cases efficiently and pursue maximum compensation. The attorney will also collaborate with the broader legal team, leverage the firm’s technology tools, and maintain accurate, timely case documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in personal injury and insurance litigation law, including liability, damages, and procedural rules.
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions, with strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience working with courts at various stages of litigation, including hearings, conferences, mediations, and trial settings.
- Demonstrated skill in handling depositions (parties, witnesses, experts) and preparing clients thoroughly for testimony.
- Trial-ready mindset, with experience or strong interest in first- or second-chairing trials, including jury selection, opening statements, examinations, and closing arguments.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active licensure in Texas, in good standing; additional state admissions (CA or IL) are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation skills, and a client-first approach to representation.
- Ability to manage a high-volume docket, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.
- Prior plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred.
