What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mixing Operator (Grave shift) position at Gossner Foods, Inc.?
Gossner Foods is a growing family business with three locations across the western United States. With a combined 120 years of cheese making experience, state of the art equipment, and a team of dedicated employees; Gossner Foods is a leader in the dairy industry. What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.
Mixing Operator
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operates all equipment in the Mixing area.
- Performs manual cleaning as well as automatic CIP's in the mixing area.
- Performs all batching and standardization of products prior to production. Includes filling out all required paperwork.
- Help train new employees.
- Obtain raw milk sampling for testing.
- Helps with the weighing out of batches under the assistant supervisors direction.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Will be required to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical fitness test to determine eligibility.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English.
- The individual must be able to work on a team.
- The employee will receive job specific training needed to succeed in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment or production.
Schedule:
- Gravyard Shift, Monday to Friday Rotating weekends
- 12:00 PM to 8:30 AM
Pay
- Training pay starts at $20.40/Hour with a potential to reach $23.90/Hour after meeting all skill levels.
