What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grossing Technician position at Goshen Health?
Summary
In this role the Grossing Technician will work directly with the Pathologists and will be performing various surgical and grossing tasks to assist in the evaluation of tissue samples in a variety of settings.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science
Preferred Education: At least 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution. This education must include 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses, OR 24 semester hours of science courses that include 6 semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital setting
Certifications Preferred Histology Tech certification
This position is a 1-year term.
