The Goshen Central School District is seeking qualified, motivated, and collaborative educational leaders to serve as Substitute School Building Administrators/Leaders on an as-needed, per diem basis.
Position Overview
The Substitute School Building Administrator/Leader will provide administrative coverage in the absence of building principals or assistant principals. This role ensures the smooth operation of the school, supports staff and students, and upholds district policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily school operations to ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
- Provide leadership and support to faculty, staff, and students throughout the school day.
- Address student behavior, discipline matters, and emergency situations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and district personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required reports.
- Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with district policies, state regulations, and best administrative practices.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
- Valid NYS School Building Leader (SBL), School District Leader (SDL), or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification required.
- Prior administrative or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and respond calmly under pressure.
